Dwarf Fringed Bleeding Heart

Not huge by any stretch of the imagination but I have had it four years in three spots and this is the first time I am seeing it bloom. I think it's finally found a happy place and I am really loving it. I can see it from my seat in the dining room, just off the front deck.

  1. This is just like mine that came from Mom! Hopefully it'll spread nicely for you now. I've been trying to figure if it is fern-leaf or fringe-leaf. This one looks more fringy than my white one, which looks more ferny - but does look have anything to do with it?!

  2. OK, I called Judy because that is where this division came from. She tells me that there is no 'leaf' in the name. It is a dwarf fringed bleeding heart. Obviously there are a lot of gardeners with the same plant and the same confusion because when I do an image search, both come up under each name. I am going to trust Judy because it was her plant and I get tired of looking really fast. Rather look at what's blooming outside. Eventhough they lied about sun this morning.

  3. OK so that tells me that my white one must be a fern-leafed one... or fern one... or... I don't know but I like it and that's the main thing.
