My gardening neighbour up the road gave me a few of these a couple of years ago and they've been seeding and coming back ever since. I think I finally identified them -
Papaver atlanticum 'Flore Pleno'. They're about 2-3 inches wide and in the sunlight they seem paler than this.
Wow. It's beautiful. I like both the dark and the lighter versions. Send me a seed pod? It looks like something I need in the new front rock garden.
