Lily-of-the-Valley opened today. The closer ones actually get more sun, the farther ones will be about a week later. Yes, it is unlikely you will ever get a weed free photo of my garden... I am just not that diligent.
My lily-of-the-valley just started blooming too, so we're on the same schedule for some things. Supposedly they smell really nice but I would have to lie down on the ground in a muddy path to find out for sure. Mine are starting to crowd out a patch of primroses so I'll be relocating some in the fall and starting another patch. Mine came from Mom's garden before she sold the house.
They do smell nice but wait until you have a big patch and sit in a lawn chair by them, don't bother with the muddy path against your cheek...they don't smell that nice ! LOL !
