These are called 'Jumbo Beauty' and the blooms are the size of my fist. They have come back regularly now for 4 years and stand about 2.5' tall. When they first open, the pink is paler and the white is more creamy. They've been blooming for 2 weeks and will go a little longer I think. They are beautiful and my Opus Lily is not nearly that big but I am just glad it came back.
ReplyDeleteWell next year you will most likely have at least 2 of them. They seem to multiply much faster than any of my other lilies. In fact, it started as just one lily and now we have 2 patches and you have one. I think this will be the 4th year although I'm starting to lose track of how long I've been garening :)
ReplyDeleteYour lily patches are going to be beautiful this year because you have lots of variety planted together. That must be why I'm waiting to come visit later.
It looks like all my lilies came back too so all the variety should be there when they bloom. Right now, they are lots of green. If they stink up my firepit, you might be going home with lily. LOL ! I am hopeful I put them far enough away and out of the wind line to the firepit. I love lily flowers so much but I really wish they didn't stink so much. Lilies kind of remind me of Penny that way :)
