I have no idea what this is but I have four of them around my garden now. I am hoping I can tell what it is once it blooms.

Just now getting to clearing out the bushline in the front. Turns out the groundcover underneath is some kind of juniper. The branches are long and run under the mulch but not rooted into the soil. Everything here is growing on top of landscape fabric. Yuck! Anyway, there are quite a few of them, whatever they are because that is it running all the way back at the top of the photo and the rock you can barely see to the left is a big boulder and there is more of it on the other side of it towards the lawn.

You've Got Mail

The seeds are dry and cleaned. On Monday when the post office is open, I am going to dig up the 'Endless Summer' bits along with the Combine Garden Daylily and the dark Creeping Jenny. These seeds and the ones on your seed wish list will join all that in the box. Anything else you can't live without next Spring that I could throw in?

My Variegated Sedum

I think I might have a tag for this but it isn't handy. This sedum is growing in the Bird Sanctuary along the dry creek bed edge almost right at the bridge. The flowers open yellow and then the centre rises up orange to finally turn red and plump looking. The yellow petals fall and all you are left with is the red. It happens all over the plant all season so I can never catch it all yellow flowers or all red seed pods, it is always mixed. It is not spreading. It grows in a mound and it is very pretty. It is one of my favorite groundcovers and has been coming back reliably since 2005.
