Front Garden

This is all new from last year in this spot. The daylily didn't bloom this year. I don't think it gets enough sun there. I am moving all the daylily this year and then not again for at least 4. I mean it! lol.

Waiting for the big ones

The space up by the road is filling in nicely and the heliopsis and bee balm are in full bloom. I think we're still a couple of weeks away from the big Casablanca lilies.

Sedum in bloom

All along the front wall (and many other places in the garden), the sea stars sedum is blooming. It was one of those first 4 plants I bought way back when you were here and we were on our first plant shopping trip. As you can see the 'Art Deco' dahlia is starting to bloom.

Lots of orange

Ha ha! We have lilies blooming and no one else does ;)

Digby blues

These are without a doubt the most impressive bearded iris we have. The flowers are big, the leaves are big, and it's tall.

I think they'd be cool right next to the yellow Japanese iris you can see in the background. Or with my early yellow Digby daylilies. There might be a change before next year :)

Blue and White Opened

The german purple are all almost done and the blue and white opened today. This is the first patch of this variety to open. It is off the front deck next to the rhubarb. Everything in that spot is early and big this year so far.

Ghostly unknown iris

It's pretty much pure white when fully opened as opposed to the pale blue when in bud. Definitely not Orange Harvest but I'm not disappointed. This one blooms lower than many of the other bearded iris.

Something Different

Tired of dahlia pictures?  This is Winky Pinky hydrangea.

This one's for you

Two stalks of Brookside Snowball blooming, with lots more buds.  Notice Longwood Dainty in the background.  I lost more glads today to the wind and rain.  Good thing I planted lots.
(Bonesta and Yellow Star and something else are budding up.)

Tiny Little Scottie

I'm really impressed with the colour of this so far... a real lemony yellow.

Cornel made it, almost

At least it should make it because we're supposed to have a nice weekend.  This is quite a dark red.  On another note, two of your delphinium up front have buds!

A Few Blooms Left

I still have a few glads blooming out front.  It was a gorgeous day here.

Lots of Layers

This is Brookside Snowball and I've been waiting for this for a long time.  It definitely has more layers than any of my other dahlia blooms.  Tomorrow will be sunny so hopefully I'll see more of it.
Giggles has buds but it might be too late :(

Delphinium Patch

These are all the darker shades of delphinium that you sent last year.  Obviously I'll have to spread them around in the spring and I'll have lots.  Notice your red dianthus blooming in the upper left.  It's really doing great!
