Second Flush

The delphinium at the front of the house decided to come up with a second flush of flowers for me! That hardly ever happens with delphinium here. Once it has gone to seed, it is usually done. I have 5 of them that are giving me another round of flowers this year. Wish I knew if it was anything I did that made that happen so I could do it again next year! I have a feeling it was more to do with the weather than me though.

Delphinium are Opening

Delphinium have started to open here. If you see any you want, holler right away! I am not sure I could find each plant in the mix once they stop blooming. I will need to find and mark any you want before the flowers are gone. Unless you find something you like, I don't plan on collecting delphinium seeds this year.

Delphinium and Jenny

All the groundcovers are coming up but the delphinium are among only a few perennials starting to show up. This creeping jenny and delphinium pair are next to Benedict in the sideyard.

Delphinium Patch

These are all the darker shades of delphinium that you sent last year.  Obviously I'll have to spread them around in the spring and I'll have lots.  Notice your red dianthus blooming in the upper left.  It's really doing great!

First to Open

Delphinium have started opening today along with the red Dianthus. The Oriental Poppy is in full bud as well. Rained in the night but nothing yet today. I got all the Calla in as odd as that sounds on the 26th of June !
