I love the colour of the John Cabot thorns. When the sun comes from behind them they are really dark pink and I can see them all the way across the yard.

Front Garden
This is all new from last year in this spot. The daylily didn't bloom this year. I don't think it gets enough sun there. I am moving all the daylily this year and then not again for at least 4. I mean it! lol.

Surviving the Storm
I think the city got hit by the storm harder than we did here. We have a lot (and I mean a lot!) of small and smaller branches down but the city looks battered today. I was worried about Judy's 'John Davis' because it was not tied up but it looks like it survived just fine!

Rose Hips
Rose hips are starting to develop on the wild rose. I hate to say it but this and the Virginia Creeper out back turning red are both sure signs of Fall. How sad.
