Esther's rocks

Esther brought us these beautiful rocks (along with a big clump of kniphofia aka torch lilies).

Kelly's Jenga

Try to remove rocks without toppling the whole thing. Kelly keeps making it more difficult by adding rocks! Looking back from the house, the hosta makes it look like it has wings.

Cooking with thyme

Mom's old cast iron frying pan repurposed. Kelly's the cook in the family so I take no credit for this.

Playmates

These little friends came from Tobi the year she got married in our yard in Regina. They have lasted well and both the 'Zurel' Tulips, which are still going strong, and the Siberian Iris, which are in bud, are taller than they are. I found new red tulips and pale pink ones in the Nursery. Two patches of each. Judy came for coffee and we strolled the yard 5 or 6 times... found something new each time. Buried in Winter Kill

I feel a little like this stepping stone I found under the honeysuckle and catmint today. Buried in winter kill. The whole garden looks like this but.... the sun is out.... and what a difference a day makes. All the tarda blooms are open.

Out in the Cold

I can't remember a time when everything that anyone in my family was done with in their garden, didn't make it over to mine :) These two little cherubs were already a tad worse for wear when they showed up here from my Aunt and I haven't helped them this year by leaving them outside all winter to fend off the weather. I think they must have been hidden under the peonies last Fall to get left out alone.

A Grey Day

This one represents the whole day rather than just a moment. Having accidentally stayed up all night on Friday, I am lethargic today. It's cold. It's rainy with intermittent snow. So I am feeling like this picture... although the green is clearly there, it is not the first thing you notice.
