Jake on the brick

Had to weed all day in my rubbers. Too wet to dig so no planting in the end but a lot of weeding got done. Jake kept his feet dry by screaming at me from the brick. Miles took this one.

Hannah - waiting or hunting?

Yes, our mower is out of commission. We are waiting on parts that, we are told, will be here a week from today. It is driving Miles crazy that he can't mow but the animals love it. Hannah sat on the dog path here for over an hour today. Just sitting. I couldn't decide if there was a mouse in that tall patch or not. If there was, she didn't go for it. Which is very un-Hannah-like! If she was waiting, I am not sure what she was waiting for but it was totally entertaining to watch Penny charge down that path and leap over Hannah. Hopefully the parts will be here before the grass starts swallowing larger animals.

Beating the Heat

She looks dead, doesn't she? She is actually just sleeping in the shade. She has creeped me out more than once with this pose though because when she is sleeping deep enough that her eyes open a bit and her tongue hangs out, she wakes up slow moving which is so unlike her.

The Front Deck

MoeMoe with Solomon in the background. I put these chairs here last week and there have been cats sleeping on them ever since. Sometimes, MoeMoe and Solomon have to share so Francis or Hannah can have the other. MoeMoe doesn't care though. She is always in relentless pursuit of him, often ending up halfway up his butt when he stops !

Deja Vu

You are just going to have to take my word for it that this actually happened today. Except she wasn't wearing a pink collar. Sean took the only working camera that I can find a charger for without a lot of effort. He will be back soon but I am exhausted so I had to settle for finding a deja vu photo that went with the day. Going to sleep now.

Sharing A View

I came across Jake and Benedict sharing a view while I was taking a photo of the egret for today. This one felt more spontaneous.
